Prayer for the Success of the Congress

Glory, praise, and thanksgiving to You,
Our loving Lord and God – Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer,
for calling us to the family of St. Dominic
that following his example in our state of life
we may praise You, bless Your people, and preach Your Word.

That we may PRAISE You,
open our eyes to see Your hand at work in all the events of daily life;
enable us to see grace, to name grace,
and to let our lives be a symphony of thanksgiving for Your goodness.

That we may BLESS Your people,
help us to realize the blessing that we are:
You have given us diverse gifts, for a common purpose of building the Church
and renewing the earth with justice, peace, communion, and care for Your creation.

That we may PREACH Your Word,
speak to us always in Scripture and in Silence.
Inflame our hearts always with the passion for the Truth who is Christ,
the Truth that will set the world free of injustice, war, disunity, and ravaging desolation.

You call those who gather in Congress in Fatima during October 2018
To remind us that we are called to share witnessing and reflections,
May Your Holy Spirit inspire discernment in the various Commissions
for a deeper Formation, and more active engagement in the world as Your instruments of love.

May our devotion to Our Lady and her rosary make us more eager
to serve the least, the marginalized, and the lost In justice and charity, as did Mary,
Amen

(Short form for personal prayer)

Glory, praise, and thanksgiving to You,
Our loving Lord and God
for calling us to the family of St. Dominic.

That we may PRAISE You,
help make our lives a symphony
of thanksgiving for your goodness.

That we may BLESS Your people,

That we may PREACH Your Word,
help us to hear You in Scripture and in Silence, and
Inflame our hearts with the Truth who is Christ.

May Your Spirit inspire in those who gather in Congress 2018
discernment for both a deeper Formation, and
more active engagement in the world as Your instruments of
love.

May our devotion to Our Lady and her rosary make us all
more eager to serve the least, the marginalized, and the lost
as did Mary, and Christ our Savior, in Whose name we pray.
Amen
